Ethereal rebirth

a curtain of periwinkle dreams spreads out before dusk / we splash in a puddle of weeping winter / & snow melts on the rooftop like scented candles / tulips sprout through the crystalline powder / petal fantasies collapse / only to blossom / yet again / caterpillars are burrowed under damp leaves in your grandma's backyard fence / winter yawns as we tuck ourselves beneath spring’s blanket & sing her goodnight lullabies / of pressed golden leaves / our dreams are painted upon rainbow-like clouds / maybe it’s an awakening of the forgotten?

& your wounds will heal like blueberry nightmares that blossomed upon your garden's fence / spring will pull out childhood books to read another day for bedtime stories because tomorrow is never
